A "one-man crime wave" who stole nearly £150 of meat from a Hampstead Marks & Spencer has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Daniel Montier, 37, of Southampton Row, was convicted at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court for stealing £137 of meat from Marks & Spencers on Pond Street, on December 27 2017.
As part of the order, he cannot enter any branches of Sainsbury’s, Waitrose or Marks & Spencers in Camden.
He also cannot re-enter a shop he’s been banned from, and will breach the order if he stays in a shop when asked to leave by a member of staff or the police.
The order will last two years.
PC Ed Bromilow of Hampstead Town, said: “This is a great result.
“Mr Montier is something of a one-man crime wave and it isn’t a huge surprise to see that the majority of his offending behaviour is motivated by drug misuse.”
