More than 300 sex offenders are living in Haringey with hundreds in neighbouring Camden and Barnet.
The report reveals the number of registered sex offenders in each London borough with Haringey coming out sixth highest with 308,
Camden has 183 registered sex offenders and Barnet has 234.
The number of offenders in the whole of London has risen by 73 per cent in ten years
The figures come from the government-backed Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA).
It states there are more than 7,000 registered sex offenders living across the capital.
An NSPCC spokesperson said: “It’s good that more of these individuals are being put on the list of registered sex offenders but it’s worrying that this is such a prolific problem, as many of these offenders will be paedophiles.
“In just ten years, the number of registered sex offenders has risen by 73 per cent and these latest figures mean that nearly one in every 1,000 people in England and Wales is on the register.
“A trend towards more survivors of sex abuse being willing to come forward is encouraging. But there is no room for complacency and it is important to report signs of sexual abuse when they occur.”
The Criminal Justice Act 2003 requires local criminal justice agencies to make arrangements to assess and manage the risk posed by sexual and violent offenders in their area.
These arrangements are known as Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) which published its report for April 2015 to April 2016 on October 27.
