Highgate and Crouch End will share a community police sergeant - as Haringey police reveal how they will cope with the loss of five posts.
The force has revealed the long awaited list of ten wards who will share a sergeant in a shake-up of Safer Neighbourhoods Teams.
The west of the borough is bearing the brunt of the cuts with just one ward, Muswell Hill, retaining its own sergeant, Julie Flemming.
Sgt. John McGrath, who has led the Crouch End Safer Neighbourhoods Team, will also take control of the Highgate ward.
Hornsey and Stroud Green wards fall under the leadership of Sgt. Steve Whiting, while Fortis Green and Alexandra wards will both be led by Sgt. Dave Williams, and Sgt. Paul Minihane will be in charge of Bounds Green and Woodside wards.
The cuts follow an extensive review of neighbourhood policing and come into effect today (November 28).
Two of the posts axed in Haringey were already vacant.
Haringey Borough Commander, Det Chief Supt Sandra Looby said: “We are committed to neighbourhood policing.
“Our Safer Neighbourhoods Teams, which have become familiar sights in local communities, will continue to do the things they have always done by supporting local communities and helping address their crime or safety concerns.”
