Four men broke into the Finchley Road store in Fortune Green at about 10am and stole a large number of phones.

Witness Joe Corbett wrote on Twitter that he saw up to 20 phones on the floor of the shop following the robbery.

He wrote: “Just seen about 15/20 brand new phones all on the floor outside carphone warehouse. Surrounded by ol bill tho.”

In a separate Tweet, he then wrote: “Was robbed about half hour ago. Got through the back door. Police say it was a professional job @WHampstead #CarphoneWarehouse #FinchleyRoad.”

No-one was injured and no arrests have been made.
