THOUSANDS of pounds worth of counterfeit goods have been seized in a police raid at the appropriately-named Fake Club bar in Camden Town.

Police officers burst into the popular karaoke venue, just yards from Holy Trinity and St Silas primary school, at 8am on Tuesday.

The police, who were accompanied by trading standards officers, discovered a horde of fake designer goods, including clothes, watches, handbags and jewellery, bearing famous logos such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany.

There was no-one inside the premises when officers carried out the raid and while they have seized several thousand items, no arrests have been made as yet.

A police spokeswoman said: "The investigation is ongoing and police are working closely with Camden Council.
