HAMPSTEAD councillor and keen motorcyclist Chris Knight tabled a motion for last week's council meeting calling for emissions testing on motor bikes.
Speaking last Wednes-day night, Cllr Knight wanted the council to lobby the Minister for Transport for emission testing as part of the MOT test.
He said: "The improvement in air quality for road transport within Camden is of paramount importance as we have some of the worst recorded figures in the United Kingdom.
"It is clear that due to the cost of public transport the numbers of motorcycles will continue to increase and it is therefore important that emission controls are introduced.
