The star-studded charity boxing dinner is back, sponsored by the Ham&High Property, with the hope of raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities Norwood and the Paskin Children’s Trust.
Legendary comedian and impressionist Bobby Davro, a well-known face since the heady days of Live From Her Majesty’s, will be hosting the event, which attracts celebrities, well-known local fundraisers, leading lights from the property world and champion boxers.
The gala dinner typically raises between £150,000 and £200,000 for the charities, and has been proudly running for around 30 years.
Jewish charity Norwood supports vulnerable children and their families, children with special educational needs and adults with learning disabilities, and the Paskin’s Children’s Trust fundraises for critically ill and underprivileged children. There will be three professional bouts of boxing, all under the British Boxing Board of Control.
Guests will have the chance to mingle with famous faces from the world of boxing while enjoying a drinks reception, a three-course meal, a set from Bobby Davro, and the chance to win prizes in the raffle, live auction, and silent auction.
The boxing line-up is mostly a surprise, but up-and-coming middleweight champion Joshua Burnham, 24, who started boxing soon after his Bar Mitzvah, has been named as one of the fighters.
Joshua Burnham, who started in the sport as a 12-year-old said: “My dad was always into boxing, and did a bit when he was younger.
