CAMDEN and Barnet London Assembly member Brian Coleman has said the runaway train emergency this morning proves how much work is needed on the Northern Line.
He said: "This is very dangerous and proves that the Northern Line needs a massive improvement.
"It proves the case of the government spending review that this upgraded should go ahead. It is very worrying that this kind of thing can happen and I shall be asking for a full inquiry and raising it with the Mayor."
A similar near-miss between two trains happened three years ago on the Northern Line when a tube set off in the wrong direction from Camden Town.
