Sixty people sat in a semi-circle at the event in Burgh House in New End Square on Thursday eager to hear the writer’s revelations.

Mr Rosen has been involved in the creation of more than 140 books and is renowned for his work as a poet, performer, broadcaster and scriptwriter. He was appointed as the fifth Children’s Laureate in 2007.

The talk was part of Burgh House’s Lifelines series, and was followed by a question-and-answer session with Mr Rosen as well as a drinks reception.

The author will appearing at Muswell Hill Bookshop on Tuesday, November 26 to promote his book How Every Letter Tells A Story.
