A Highgate schoolboy joined Camden’s brass instrument teachers for a rousing Christmas carol fundraiser.
Manu Raffray, a pupil at William Ellis School in Highgate Road, performed under the departures board at Euston Station last Thursday.
They played a medley of Christmas carols, including Once in Royal David’s City and Jingle Bells, for passing commuters with all money going to the Camden Music Trust.
The 16-year-old said: “My trumpet teacher invited to me to play with them, it was good fun.”
The charity, which supports children with music scholarships and tuition, is hoping to raise £100,000 this year so it can continue to deliver programmes through the Camden Music Service.
Camden mayor, Cllr Jenny Headlam-Wells, chose the trust as her chosen charity for the year and has already raised more than £40,000.
