Residents will have the chance to question the head of Camden police - after watching him feature in an episode of BBC documentary The Met.
Members of the community are being invited to a special screening of Episode Three of The Met at Haverstock School where borough commander Det Supt Richard Tucker will be there to take questions on Tuesday night.
As reported in the Ham & High, Hampstead residents and crime campaigners feature in the episode, which shows footage of a heated public meeting at St Stephen’s, in Haverstock Hill on October 12.
The description of the programme on the BBC website says: “Wealthy residents of Camden, north London, have been plagued by a wave of violent snatch-and-grab thefts by robbers using mopeds to evade police. Suspects are often only in their teens and cops are discouraged from chasing the criminals. Public confidence in the police is running low, and it’s up to borough commander Richard Tucker to win back local trust and wipe out the problem.”
