A WEST Hampstead man has been the victim of a terrifying car jacking when he had a gun held to his head by men in balaclavas.

About midnight on Monday, the 33-year-old parked in Netherwood Street and was confronted by a man in a balaclava.

Two other men, armed with handguns, moved in and the victim was hit in the face with the handle of a gun.

He fell to the ground and his attackers rifled through his pockets and stole his car keys.

Two of the vicious robbers got into his car while the third remained behind, holding a gun to the back of the victim's head. He then jumped in the car and they all drove off.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for swelling, bruising and a cut to the cheekbone.

The suspects were three black men, aged in their 20s, wearing dark clothing with black balaclavas.

Anyone with information is urged to call Camden Police on 020-7404 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
