Car chase ends in Muswell Hill crash

TWO men have been arrested after an hour-long chase across three boroughs ended in a crash in Muswell Hill.

Officers first responded to a call that two men were interrupted stealing equipment from a builder's yard in Cricklewood at 8am on Wednesday.

The men made off in a white transit van towards Enfield and was spotted on CCTV on Brownlow Road.

When officers got close, the suspects rammed the police car and escaped.

A member of the public then reported a van had smashed through the barriers of a property near The Avenue in Muswell Hill, before the two suspects fled towards Alexandra Palace.

Haringey officers then snared the men in Alexandra Park using a dog unit, before taking the to a local police station.
