A CAMDEN stylist is at the cutting edge of his profession, after being nominated for a prestigious national award.

Akin Konizi, international director for Hob Salons at Camden Lock, has received his third consecutive nomination for the British Hairdresser of the Year award.

Mr Konizi, who is one of three directors of the Hob Salons group, stands to win the highest accolade the industry can offer.

He said: "Although I have been fortunate enough to have received two consecutive nominations for this award previously, I am still completely surprised and bowled over to receive another one.

"I feel extremely honoured to be recognised again by my fellow peers and look forward to continue being an ambassador for this amazing industry."

Winners will be announced at a star-studded awards ceremony and dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, in November.
