Camden Council has been inundated with enquiries after opening bookings for same sex weddings.
The council has received contact from dozens of couples interesting in being among the first to have same sex weddings, with five already filling out formal applications.
The council opened bookings for its 44 wedding venues last Friday, with the first same sex weddings set to take place in England and Wales on Saturday, March 29, next year.
The 44 venues include the Grade II-listed Camden Town Hall in Judd Street, King’s Cross.
