A group of Camden Conservative santas will be without their sleighs as they take on the annual Santa Dash on Clapham Common on December 3.
The group of six Tories, part of the Camden Conservative Social Action Committee will be running to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Councillor Oliver Cooper is one of those who will be donning costume to take part.
The committee usually does a Christmas appeal, but wanted to do something extra this year.
Kate Fairhurst, 26, of West End Lane in Swiss Cottage is one of those taking part. She said: “Great Ormond Street does outstanding research and they’re going through a huge refurbishment. It’s a great cause.
“I’ve only done a few 10km runs before, but we’re planning to do a few practise runs so we don’t let anyone who has sponsored us down.”
The group has raised over £370 so far, and are now looking for extra sponsorship.
Anybody interested in donating can do so on the team’s fundraising page.
