THE Castlehaven Community Association, which serves as a sports centre for children as young as four, has applied for an alcohol licence.

The close proximity of children could spark fears of an unhealthy atmosphere for kids at the Camden Town centre which has provided a place for active recreation for youngsters for more than 20 years.

The association has also applied for a licence for showing films, playing live music, and dancing which, as well as the alcohol licence, would last from midday to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays. A decision is due at the Town Hall on Tuesday (January 20).
