It is understood he had returned from a country affected by swine flu, and the news comes as experts are warning there could be a further outbreak of the virus in the autumn when children return to school following the summer break.
The case follows the temporary closure of South Hampstead High School last month after a Year 9 girl was confirmed as having swine flu.
