One would think knowing your way around London was a prerequisite for a bus driver.

Or at the very least having a rough idea of the geography of your own bus route.

But such matters are clearly of little concern to one C11 driver, whose journey takes in much of NW3 including South End Green, Belsize Park and Swiss Cottage.

When asked if the bus was heading to Hampstead by a passenger who had just jumped aboard outside the Royal Free Hospital, he replied: “Where is Hampstead?”

Engineer Dan Williams, 55, of Colindale, said: “His response was rather unexpected from a bus driver.”
