Gardening enthusiasts gathered at Burgh House for Hampstead’s own version of Gardeners’ Question Time.
Howard Shannon, producer of the BBC Radio 4 show, chaired a one-off, unofficial GQT at the venue in New End Square, Hampstead, on Wednesday of last week.
A sell-out audience packed into the house to put questions to the panel on the night, including the Ham&High’s gardening correspondent Ruth Pavey, gardening historian Stephen Smith, former Camden Garden Centre head gardener Mike Jackson and Stephen Crisp, gardener for the US ambassador to the UK.
Ms Pavey said: “The audience was incredibly knowledgeable. I recognised a lot of them because I’d interviewed a lot of them. It just developed into a conversation between gardeners.”
