Budding illustrators have designed special bookmarks for readers to use at a community library.
Garden Suburb Library, in Market Place, Hampstead Garden Suburb, launched a competition last summer giving youngsters the chance to design the library’s official bookmarks.
The winners, Maya Smythe, 6, Maya Reiss, 8, and Celeste Chhibber, 11, were recently presented with their bookmarks.
The bookmarks, now available in the library, were printed by local company FunTech and are free for all library visitors to use.
Hetty Colchester, one of the library managers who judged the bookmark competition, said: “We had some amazing entries. The designs were fantastic and they are all on display on the library walls. It was very difficult to choose a winner.”
