The body of an elderly man has been found at a house in Hampstead following a fire yesterday evening.
The fire damaged a large part of the ground floor of the house in Parkhill Walk, Hampstead.
An elderly man was found dead at the scene after fire crews were called at just after 8.30pm.
The fire was under control by 9pm.
Its cause is under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and police.
