RESIDENTS looked on in horror as a blaze ripped through Lisson Grove's famed fish and chip shop.
The fire, which broke out around 5pm last Thursday afternoon, spread through four floors of the popular Sea Shell restaurant.
More than 40 firefighters were called to the diner and a London fire brigade spokesman said that 50 per cent of the ground floor had been destroyed.
Scores of customers were led to safety before the fire crews arrived No-one was reported to be hurt.
