A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital on Thursday (November 6) after colliding with a car outside St John's Wood Underground station.
The man, who has been described by eyewitnesses as Eastern European, was heading north in Wellington Road at about 7.40am when a silver Volkswagen Passat turning right crossed his path, which led to the collision, according to reports. An ambulance was called to Acacia Road and the motorcyclist was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, reportedly suffering from hip pain.
Felix Brown Matthew, supervisor at the station, said the man was in "agony" and paramedics treated him on the ground before he was taken to hospital. The incident caused chaos for motorists during morning rush hour.
