A MAN has pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle from outside a bakery in Crouch End.
Seth White, 30 and unemployed of Birkbeck Road, Hornsey, stole an unlocked bike from outside Gregg's bakery on July 23.
He admitted the crime at Enfield Magistrates' Court on July 30 and opted to spend a day in custody rather than pay a £100 fine and a £15 surcharge to the victim.
Sergeant John McGrath, from the Safer Neighbour-hoods Team, said that White had actually approached police since the incident and thanked them for arresting him - as it might keep him on the straight and narrow.
