W ITANHURST manor in Highgate is playing host to a quartet of English stars for the filming of Dorian Gray.

The eponymous hero is being played by Ben Barnes, who recently shot to fame in his turn as Prince Caspian in the second Narnia film.

Colin Firth is playing the corrupting Lord Wotton, while Ben Chaplin and Max Irons also have roles.

The leading men have all been spotted in Highgate during the recent shoot, doubtless snatching brief sunny spells for filming in between the wind and rain as the elements lashed the former home of the Fame Academy, recently reported to have changed hands for more than £50 million.
