Gorgeous weather and a full programme ensured the Belsize Park Music Festival ran as smoothly as the jazz that completed the weekend.
Organised by violinist Carol Slater and her husband Ian Jewel, the two day annual event featured classical concerts at St Peter’s Church in Belsize Square on Saturday and Sunday before an open air jazz set.
The classical programme included Brahms’ Piano Quartet in G Minor, Brahms’ Horn Trio and Schumann’s works for viola.
The festival closed with a free open air jazz concert in Belsize Terrace, where Ms Slater was joined by keyboard player Rob Barron and Flo Moore on bass.
Ms Slater said: “There was a terrific crowd for the jazz, the weather was absolutely beautiful and we were still all there at 10.30pm. It was lovely, a real festive atmosphere.”
The event was sponsored by Heywood’s Estate Agents and Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.
