Belly-dancing breast cancer patients shimmied around Hampstead Heath as part of a sponsored charity walk.
Members of the Dance Yourself Happy group, run by breast cancer charity Cancerkin, danced the length of the charity’s annual walk around the Heath on Sunday.
They were joined by about 200 walkers on the day who chose between a 5km or 10km route and helped to raise £16,000 to support Cancerkin’s work. That total is expected to rise as donations to walkers continue to be received.
Dance Yourself Happy, devised and led by Yvette Cowles, who is living with breast cancer herself, run classes combining different styles of dance with laughter yoga.
Cancerkin is based at the Royal Free Hospital, in Pond Street, Hampstead.
