With the weather set to get chillier, people are being encouraged to take part in a Walk for Warmth in Highgate Woods.
The World Jewish Relief event on Sunday, November 6 aims to raise vital funds to help vulnerable people survive the harsh winter months in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Four supporters of the humanitarian aid organisation have already taken to the streets of Abbey Road in St John’s Wood to promote the walk and recreate a chilly version of the Beatles’ famous album cover.
Temperatures regularly plummet below -20 degrees in parts of Eastern Europe with elderly and disabled people often struggling to cover the cost of food and medical supplies.
People are also able to donate new or good-as-new hats, scarves and winter coats, and to sponsor boxes of humanitarian aid.
There are two different walks in Highgate Woods – a 2km route or a 6km route.
