Barnet Council is set to appoint its interim chief executive on a permanent basis.
Andrew Travers has been picked by a council selection committee, having taken on the interim role following the resignation of former chief executive Andrew Walkley last year.
Mr Travers, who must now await formal approval for the role from full council later this month, stepped up from his previous position as the council’s deputy chief executive to fill the vacancy left by Mr Walkley in October.
Mr Walkley has since become chief executive of Haringey Council.
