A “secret” society of cake bakers that gathers at undisclosed locations around Camden invited the Ham&High into its “hush-hush” monthly meeting on Monday.
Camden Clandestine Cake Club is part of a global collective in which cake lovers share homemade themed treats and meet new people.
This month, 75 members met at Fifty Five Bar and Lounge in Jamestown Road.
An “art masterpiece” theme saw bakers create cake Picassos, cake Salvador Dalis and even a cake representing the Johnny Cash song I Walk the Line.
Organiser Jelena Culum, 38, who works at the University of Law in Bloomsbury and lives in Murray Street, Cantelowes, said: “People are only given the location of the next meeting a day or two before it happens just to add a bit of excitement.”
