Arsenal are likely to be fined by the FA following the mass brawl which broke out on the pitch in the 3-0 victory over Hull City.
Both clubs have been charged with failing to control their players in the incident, which involved most of the players on the pitch.
Both Arsenal and Hull have been given until January 13 to respond to the Football Association's charges and it is almost certain that the clubs will be heavily fined if found guilty.
Last year's corresponding fixture also brought controversy with bad feeling between the managers and allegations of spitting by Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
