BBC presenter Andrew Marr is among a number of Primrose Hill celebrities donating their handbags – or in Mr Marr’s case, manbag – to a charity auction.

The Primrose Hill “Bag-It” event sees retail guru Mary Portas take to the stage as auctioneer at the Primrose Hill Community Centre, selling residents’ pre-loved purses, handbags and even luggage.

Celebrities donating items include Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow, who gave away his laptop bag, and BBC presenter Mishal Husain.

Organisers say any residents wishing to donate their own bags can drop them off at the Community Centre (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm) or at Prim Nail and Beauty in Erskine Road on Saturday.

The event, at 7.45pm on November 18, will be in aid of Primrose Hill Community Centre, funding improvements to the building and its accessibility.
