THE flock of paparazzi circling like vultures around Amy Winehouse continue to make life a misery for her Camden Town neighbours. Last year Ham&High columnist Heathman reported on the issue before the singer moved around the corner into a new pad.

But her new neighbours face the same problems on a daily (or rather nightly) basis. They have no problem with the singer's nocturnal lifestyle and party antics, but report that the ensuing snappers are noisy, block the roads, leave litter lying around and even use their doorways as toilets.

"I came back once from hospital and there was a bloke pissing against the wall a few feet away. I just screamed and swore at him. He gave me a shamefaced look," said neighbour Paula McGinley.

"Amy has been an ideal neighbour. I get on with her, but these people working in the name of the newspapers should be reprimanded."

Another resident said the noise made by the photographers' scooters and cars on the cobbled road is deafening. "The noise is really annoying," she said.

"Often Amy comes back home at three or four in the morning and scooters whiz down the road. My bedroom is on the ground floor and it wakes me up."

Earlier this year the Camden Town singer moved house from around the corner, and her former neighbours were glad to see the back of the paparazzi.

One said this week: "They were a pain. Anyone who came into the street they took pictures of, even your kids, but if you took a picture of them they screamed abuse at you.

"They were aggressive towards Amy, I feel sorry for her. I'm glad they've gone."

But the photographers have hit back, saying it is unfair to tar them all with the same brush.

"The night-time paparazzi are much worse," said one 'pap'. "I have met two types of resident here. One says 'we are glad to have you about because I do not like walking around the streets at night,' and there is the other one that hates our guts.
