Two young clubbers who died last weekend following all-night raves at Alexandra Palace have been named.

Lloyd Edward Jones, 21, of Thornhurst Avenue, Oswestry, Shropshire, was pronounced dead at 12.35am on Sunday, having been taken by private ambulance to Whittington Hospital in Archway on Saturday morning following the UKF Bass Culture event at the Palace.

Richard Michael Baker, 20, of Mount Road, Chessington, Surrey, was taken to the same hospital on Sunday morning, after the Together Winter Music Festival, where he was pronounced dead hours later at 7.29am.

The coroner is awaiting toxicology results before a cause of death can be confirmed, but police are investigating whether both men died from a rogue batch of the class A drug ecstasy.

Inquests into the deaths of Mr Jones and Mr Baker have been adjourned at Barnet Coroners’ Court until July 18 and 19 next year, respectively.
