The woman credited with transforming Alexandra Palace into one of London’s top music venues is leaving to take up a new job at the O2 Arena.
Rebecca Kane, managing director of the Palace’s trading company, is stepping down after three years to become general manager of the Greenwich venue.
The outgoing MD said: “My vision was that this former Victorian palace and park should carve out a distinct and forward looking vision whilst retaining its community heart and history as the People’s Palace.
“I am extremely proud that the rebrand and overhaul of our event delivery means I am leaving Ally Pally with a superb and enviable portfolio of future bookings.”
Before joining the Palace, Miss Kane was at the helm at Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath, where she oversaw the hugely popular outdoor concerts at the former stately home.
