Actress teaches children moves from Shrek The Musical at Primrose Hill theatre school

A West End actress who took to the stage in Shrek The Musical showed children how to dance like a musical theatre star at a Primrose Hill drama school.

Alexandra Grierson, who dressed up as a fairytale creature in the ensemble of the West End production, held workshops for budding performers at Razzmatazz Theatre School based at St Paul’s Primary School, Elsworthy Road, on Friday.

Children were taught dance routines from the musical before being given the chance to ask Ms Grierson questions about how she got into the theatre industry.

Drama teacher Carrie Whitton said: “The actors often say it’s very hard work but it’s amazing for the children to meet somebody who is working in West End.”
