She went back to the Marie Curie Hospice in Lyndhurst Gardens on Tuesday to support the Hampstead Hug walk around Hampstead Heath in aid of the centre on Saturday, June 23.

Her mother Rita Robson spent five months in the hospice before dying last August, aged 75.

Ms Robson paid tribute to staff, including healthcare worker Leonie Christian, saying: “They made my mum’s last months and moments the best they possibly could. I can never thank them enough for the way they looked after my mum. I have mixed feelings returning – my mum died here, but she died here comfortable with the best possible treatment you could have.”

The walk costs £10 to enter for adults and participants can opt for a three or six mile route. Those interested in taking part should contact supporthampstead@mariecurie.org.uk or call 020 7853 3415.
