THE MAYOR of Camden has announced a unique chance for music fans to attend a one-off gig by Mighty Boosh favourites Robots in Disguise.

Taking a break from playing their trademark electropunk sets at the likes of Reading Festival, the band will perform an acoustic set at Holborn Library on Wednesday, October 29.

Councillor Jonathan Simpson, Mayor of Camden, said: “Camden is showing how live music can be done differently, with a gig in a local library by the fantastic Robots in Disguise. This is just one of many musical events taking place in Camden during my music month. I would encourage everyone, young and old, to get out and experience something new.”

New band Goodness will also be performing a one-off, free, acoustic gig in the Council Chamber two days earlier for an audience of young music lovers and musicians.

Sue Denim of Robots in Disguise added: “We visit Holborn library - our local - loads for all our admin needs and lyric research. We love it. It’ll be cool to be allowed to make loads of noise in there.”
