A medical practice is urging people to get their blood pressure checked as part of a national health campaign.
Queenswood Medical Practice in Hornsey is supporting Know Your Numbers Week, which runs from September 7 to 13 and aims to raise awareness of high blood pressure, a condition that affects an estimated 14.4 million adults in England.
Dr Shalil Solanki of Queenswood Medical Practice said: "Picking up undiagnosed high blood pressure is arguably the single most impactful, cost-effective, and life-saving preventive intervention we can make today."

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, meaning many people are unaware they are at risk.
Every day in the UK, around 350 people suffer a stroke or heart attack that could have been prevented. Know Your Numbers Week, organised by Blood Pressure UK, is the nation’s largest blood pressure testing and awareness campaign.
Queenswood Medical Practice is encouraging residents across Hornsey, Crouch End, and Alexandra Park to get tested. The practice is also welcoming new patients and has an online registration process available at queenswoodmedicalpractice.co.uk.
No ID, proof of address, or NHS number is needed to register. Queenswood Medical Practice is located at 151 Park Road, Hornsey.
