A teacher will appear on 5’s Milkshake! Story Den to share the magic of storytelling with children.
Andrew Scott, who works at Rhyl Community Primary School in Camden, will be featured on the show on September 11, after being selected as one of six teachers nationwide to take part in the Feature Your Teacher campaign.
The campaign celebrates educators who inspire a love of reading in young children and forms part of the UK’s National Year of Reading.

Mr Scott said: "One of my favourite moments in any school day is reading to my class. Seeing children become completely immersed in a story and letting their imaginations run free is what makes reading so special.
"I firmly believe that reading for pleasure can open up a world of opportunities for children, so it was a real privilege to take part in Milkshake! Story Den and hopefully inspire more young readers to discover the joy of books."
Mr Scott is also a published children’s author. His book Billy the Brave: The World’s First Superhero supports literacy by using vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation from the national curriculum.
During his appearance on the show, he will read The Big Bad Bug.
