It’s a busy summer at forum+ filled with great activity, engagement, and community spirit.

Connection and community are at the heart of everything we do at forum+ and as the summer months unfold, we are reminded of the transformative power of reaching out and joining with others.

Pride in London is always one of the highlights of our summer, and this year’s parade and festival was such a special day of protest, celebration, and joy.

On Saturday, 4th July, crowds thronged the parade route and filled the streets all around.

So many meaningful engagements were made with our charity at the information stall we hosted in the Community Village in Soho Square.

We’ve had lots of fun in the sun at our outdoor social support groups, whether enjoying a peaceful paddle on the Regent’s Canal or connecting with nature in our beautiful local parks.

Though the recent hot weather has been challenging, and resulted in the rescheduling of some of our events, we have made the most of the opportunity to meet outdoors during summer 2026.

In June, we delighted in a visit to Gillespie Park for a Queer Ecology Walk expertly led by entomologist and educator Connor Butler.

As we gently moved through Islington’s largest nature reserve, Connor guided us to see nature from a new perspective and it was so much fun learning fascinating facts about queer ecology.

Our dedicated volunteer team have been as busy as ever this summer by supporting our Pride activities, community outreach work, and so much more.

There is always something engaging and interesting happening at forum+ and if you’d like to support our charity please email: volunteer@forumplus.org.uk.

All our social support groups are designed to be safe and welcoming spaces that promote wellbeing, reduce loneliness and celebrate culture.

Participants are not only enjoying themselves but also building confidence and acquiring skills.

A warm welcome awaits at forum+ where connections are made and friendships forged.

Summer certainly isn’t over yet and for the remaining weeks of August there are so many wonderful opportunities to connect with the LGBT+ community in Camden and Islington.

We’re looking forward to our kayaking sessions at the wonderful Pirate Castle in Camden and learning culinary skills and new recipes in the kitchen at St Luke’s Community Centre.

To join with forum+ and for updated information on our social support groups please email info@forumplus.org.uk and visit our website at: forumplus.org.uk.
