North London Hospice has just opened its 20th charity shop – close to Camden Town underground station.

The shop, located at 9 Parkway in Camden, marks an expansion of the hospice’s care and fundraising presence in the community.

The opening comes as North London Hospice extends its free services to residents in Camden and Islington. The shop will help raise vital funds for specialist end-of-life care.

The hospice currently serves Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey and is now extending support to nearby boroughs.

Camden mayor Cllr Eddie Hanson, who cut the ribbon at the launch, said: "I’m a huge supporter of North London Hospice and the incredible work it has been doing since 1984. I would like to thank the volunteers, staff, trustees, and executive team for their dedication, as well as the generous donors whose continued support makes this vital work possible."

Camden store manager Daniela Singh said: "We’re delighted to open our 20th shop here in Camden – this is truly an exciting milestone for us. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our fantastic team who have been working hard to open new stores this year to help fund our free hospice care for North London residents."

The new store offers pre-loved fashion, books, and homewares, and aims to become a welcoming part of the neighbourhood.

Ms Singh said: "We’d especially like to thank our generous local community for their kind donations.

"We’re looking forward to discovering all that Camden has to offer, getting to know our new neighbours and becoming become part of this vibrant area."

The hospice also announced that its North Central London Palliative Advice Team will now serve Camden and Islington. The free out-of-hours telephone service offers support from 8pm to 8am, Monday-Sunday.

The advice line is available to patients, carers, and fellow community professionals and is staffed by a team of experienced and expert care givers offering telephone support and signposting to other services.

The mayor welcomed the hospice’s arrival in Camden, describing it as "a place where people from all walks of life come together."
