A spacious flat has gone on the market on a street that has been home to celebrities and Apprentice contestants.

Daleham Gardens in Belsize Park has previously drawn the likes of James Corden, while Game of Thrones star Sean Bean once lived in the adjoining Mews.

And back in 2016, the entrepreneurs vying to become Sir Alan Sugar's business partner stayed in the grand Victory House during filming for the BBC series.

The six-bed property, boasting a cinema and steam room, went on the market seven years later for a cool £22.5 million following a top to toe refurbishment.

The quiet residential road is named after a house on the Sussex estate of the former Lord of the Manor of Hampstead, Spencer Maryon Wilson, and boasts handsome Victorian houses that were built in the 1880s.

Victory House was also the former home of child psychologist and psychiatrist John Bowlby who developed pioneering work on child development including attachment theory.

Ironically, No 17 was the Hampstead Mother and Baby Home from 1903-1970 where unmarried mothers gave birth and often gave up their babies for adoption.

And No 31, known as Stagshaw, was home to Annie E Ridley and Jane Taylor Ridley who helped to found top state school Camden School for Girls.

In 2017 it suffered damage in a fire which tragically killed a young woman, and is being redeveloped into new homes.

Nearby is the three-bedroom flat currently on the market with Arlington Estates for £7.35m.

Arranged over two levels it has a large kitchen dining room, a private entrance, a garage plus parking for five cars, a large rear garden, and a stunning 40ft terrace.

The property is close to Belsize Village with its shops and restaurants, including popular cafe Roni's and brand new pan Asian restaurant Huo.

It is also within walking distance of top independent schools including South Hampstead, Devonshire House, The Hall, and University College School.

Marc Schneiderman, Director at Arlington Residential said: "Having acted on the sale of this wonderful home twice before, over the last 40 years, I know from the two previous owners and the current owners how much they have enjoyed the property.

"This really is a unique home and one of my personal favourites."
