Plans to knock down a house and replace it with another have been approved, despite opposition from a conservation group.

Camden's Council's planning committee met on Thursday, March 20, to discuss an application to demolish an existing house at 5 Bacon's Lane in Highgate, and build a replacement two-storey detached house.

This application, submitted by Simon Fraser, was opposed by the Highgate Conservation Area Advisory Committee.

However, the committee voted to grant planning permission, subject to conditions.
