Our wonderful team of volunteers are integral to us delivering our services.
As well as making friends and learning new skills, volunteers bring their experience, enthusiasm and knowledge to forum+. forum+ volunteers give their time regularly, volunteer at a one-off event, or help us deliver our variety of outreach and social support groups online and in person across our local area.
We are currently celebrating Volunteers’ Week (June 3-9), the annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering. It’s wonderful to have this time to say thanks and to celebrate the amazing people giving their time and dedication to enable equality.
Right now is an especially exciting time to join with forum+ as we celebrate Pride Month.
Throughout June and all summer long forum+ is showing our Pride with a wide range of events including craft workshops, kayaking, wellbeing walks, poetry, performances, community festivals, talks and much more!
The Pride in London annual parade and celebration is taking place on Saturday, June 29. forum+ will be hosting a stall at the Pride in London Community Village.
Our volunteers always rate our day at Pride in London as one of the highlights of their year. We’re so excited to celebrate with the community and look forward to a great day of engagement.
Pride is not just for June and our commitment to our community is to always celebrate the achievements, lived experiences and culture of local LGBT people. We collate and share evidence to ensure that LGBT people and our needs are highlighted, and to support victims of LGBT hate crime. We wish to work with and collaborate with everyone in our community to build a safer, more supportive and cohesive society.
