Camden Market is getting ready to embrace the cute on Valentine's Day as lifestyle brand MINISO prepares to open its biggest UK store yet.

Spanning 4,110 square feet, the shop on Camden High Street will open its doors to the public at noon on February 14, with a live DJ and the chance to meet lovable mascot PenPen.

The Chinese retailer opened its first store in 2013 and has since expanded all over the world with more than 6000 stores in 100 countries, including 26 in the UK, nine of which are in London.

Embracing all things Kawaii - the Japanese culture of cute characters and designs - the shops sell everything from pencil cases and stationary to soft toys, homeware and snacks.

The Camden store will be the first to have dedicated zones for ranges such as Sanrio, beauty, snacks and Blind Box collectibles, and will also feature homewares, accessories and its newly launched beauty and self-care line, featuring nail polishes, face masks, perfumes, and essential makeup products.

Saad Usman, Chief Operating Officer at MINISO UK said: "The unveiling of our Camden store signifies a momentous step in our journey, driven by our belief that 'Life is for Fun.' Our store goes beyond the typical retail environment; it stands as a vibrant hub of joy, creativity and all things cute. With endless choices and delightful surprises, the Camden store perfectly embodies the unique spirit that defines MINISO."

The first 400 customers through the doors receive a complimentary goody bag valued at over £25 with any purchase.
