A pub much-loved within the LGBT community has been boarded up and closed its doors.

The Harringay Arms, on Crouch Hill, has had its windows and doors boarded up for at least a week – with notices placed at its front.

As of today (January 31), the small watering-hole has changed its status on Google to ‘permanently closed’ and its website domain has been removed.

Former manager Clay Lorenzo, who left before its closure, said to the Ham&High that he is aware it has closed.

He said: “It’s such a shame. It was a great pub and [I] worked hard there. It was the busiest it had been for a long time.”

Mr Lorenzo took over the pub in 2021 and introduced popular events such as regular drag acts and a bottomless drag bingo.
