Fresh shopfront signs on a popular high street were among planning applications made in the borough over the last week.

Several planning applications were submitted to Camden Council between January 15 and 21, ranging from the display of shopfront signage to communal gardens alterations.

We have rounded up the most notable for you below.

Chancery Lane Station House in Holborn and Covent Garden ward had plans, 2023/5103/P, for the change of use of deep level tunnels to a visitor and culture attraction, which would include a bar.

A communal garden, to the side of 11 Arkwright Road in Camden, could have changes that fell and reduce the size of various trees, including a crown reduction to its "Tree of Heaven," a species native to China.

The application, 2024/0152/T, was supported by Forbes Treecare.

In Hampstead Town, an application was submitted to erect a single-storey side extension with a roof terrace and associated landscaping.

This proposal, 2023/4898/P, was made for a property at 2 1/2 Rudall Crescent in Hampstead, supported by agent Me-architects.

South Hill Park ward in Hampstead also had an application, 2023/5195/P, to bring together two self-contained flats into a single home.

The plans, 2023/5195/P, would also involve changes to the arrangement of windows in the building and a new window.

Shopfronts on 23 and 24 Hampstead High Street could have fresh signage after an application for unlit, metal pin and plated lettering was made by applicant Mr G Williamson.

The application, 2024/0204/A, was supported by PMP, a Manchester-based management and building consultancy.

Holly Lodge Estate in Highgate has also had plans, 2023/5335/P, made to erect a single-storey timber outbuilding in a back garden.

This is for the premises at 5 Hillway in the estate.

Three yew trees could be felled in Highgate Cemetery's west area if plans supported by the Highgate Cemetery Trust are approved.

The plans, 024/0164/T, would result in these trees being felled to ground level.

And in Holborn and Covent Garden ward, plans, 2023/2692/P, have been made to install plant equipment to the flat roof of a building.

This would include air condition units and extractors for 35 Gray's Inn Road.
