A hotel worker has been charged with rape and multiple sexual assaults on five women over 16 years.

Ahmed Fahmy, 45, of West Heath Drive, Golders Green, will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (January 24) charged with one count of rape and four counts of sexual assault.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2024 and relate to five different women.

Fahmy was employed or purported to work at three different hotels, where some of the offending took place, Scotland Yard said.

An investigation was launched after police received separate allegations of rape and sexual assault on Sunday ( January 21).

One woman is alleged to have been raped at the Anchor Guest Hotel in West Heath Drive, Golders Green, on Saturday (January 20).

On the same day, at the same hotel, a woman reported being sexually assaulted.

On March 10 last year another sexual assault took place at the hotel.

Between March 1 and March 31, 2022, a woman was sexually assaulted at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel, in Western Gateway, Newham.

In 2008 between January 1 and December 31 a woman was sexually assaulted in Alliance Close, in Wembley.

Fahmy was arrested on Sunday and further offences were identified after further investigation by detectives.

He was subsequently charged with five offences.
